An old Alentejo to taste @ Bistro
December 12
António Maçanita launches the new “Enxarrama 2014”, a unique wine, existing since the end of the 13th century, being one of the oldest wine-growing areas in Évora on record. The wine, produced at the Fita Preta winery, close to the place where the Enxarrama river originates, is the result of the effort to recover this wine that is so important and iconic in the winemaking history of Alentejo and Portugal. Harvested manually at night, it has a total aging period before release for 10 years, passing through French oak barrels, vats and, finally, 6 years of bottle aging. At Bistro, the presentation is made with an equally special menu, costing 130 euros per person (wine included).
