Family, love & cocktails

It is with a tight heart but a chest full of pride that we write these lines. We are overwhelmed by the feeling of an empty nest but at the same time the pride of seeing our “children” flying alone. Jorge Camilo and Daniel Zamith are those children in this 100 Maneiras family. They grew up with us, with the typical pains of a meteoric growth like theirs… They suffered with us, laughed with us, drank, ate, traveled, fell asleep on certain mornings, accompanied us on so many dawns… we saw children being born, parents dying, wrote a book, celebrated weddings. We have flirted around their divine liquid creations so many (but so many!) times… After more than a decade behind the bar of the Bistro 100 Maneiras, responsible for the prestige (and the awards) of the 100 Maneiras signature cocktails, Jorge and Dani threw themselves into other flights, to feel other hands, other heads, to grow outside the bosom of this family. We know (we are sure!) that this was just the beginning of a beautiful love story. Because there is no end to this love. There never will be.
