Bistro pops the cork from October 19th to 21st
From October 19th to 21st, Bistro 100 Maneiras will offer the corkage fee to everyone who comes to have lunch or dinner at the Largo da Trindade restaurant and brings their own bottle. The initiative aims to celebrate the spirit of the Vinhos & Sabores fair, run by Grandes Escolhas magazine, which takes place in Lisbon on those dates.
Although customers can always choose to bring their own wines when eating at Bistro (so-called BYOB – Bring Your Own Bottle), there is an associated corkage fee charged for each bottle opened.
Considering the number of visitors to the event and the wines purchased there, Bistro decided to eliminate this fee during these days, thus giving wine lovers the opportunity to combine their wines with meals at the restaurant in Chiado, at no additional cost.
The 100 Maneiras group’s strong relationship with wine has been expressed over the years in wine events (such as tasting dinners organized with producers, the extinct “Out of the Cork” lunches or wine launch events held in the group’s restaurants) but also in the production of its own wines, namely through chef Ljubomir Stanisic, who, after almost two decades producing wines in Portugal, launched the Mestiço brand, which currently has 10 references that can be drunk in the group’s restaurants or purchased through the chef’s online store, among other points of sale.
