Unlocking 100
After more than three months of closed doors, Restaurant 100 Maneiras and Bistro 100 Maneiras are preparing to (finally) reopen on April 19th.
It is the beginning of a story that has not stopped. Which main characters are all those who kept their sleeves rolled up and continued to work to take the spirit 100 Maneiras through Lisbon and its surroundings. With closed doors but windows open to the world, through 100 Maneiras 2GO, the take-away and delivery service that, during these months, not only resisted but insisted: to renew, to create, to surprise. To maintain proximity in times of distance. Like the day when we raffled, among all delivery orders, the offer of a dinner and delivery by the hands of chef Ljubomir Stanisic – and it turned out the winner celebrated 19 years that day and ended up having a huge surprise. Or like when we launched 2GO Special, a selection of very special dishes, delivered by our own team in Lisbon, Almada, Loures, Oeiras, Cascais and Sintra. Explorers 100 Maneiras, that’s us!
We put cocktails in bottles, sculpted huge balls of ice ready-to-go, created menus for Valentine’s Day, Father’s Day, Easter… we looked for any and all excuses to celebrate – because if there was a time when we needed reasons to smile , this was it. We brought together the flavors of “Hell” and launched two special menus to taste the “Hell’s Kitchen” tv show at home. More. We tried and did more. We will do more.
More of everything that we couldn’t do. Like the celebration of the first Michelin star awarded to Restaurant 100 Maneiras at the end of December 2020, and which we practically had no time to celebrate. A party that will happen at the table, where the tasting menus that merge Bosnia and Portugal will return, telling the story of chef Ljubomir – and the team that accompanies him – now with new chapters. Because the world has not stopped spinning and our team has not stopped creating. A party to toast with more than 500 wine references from our cellar and signature cocktails from the shaker-free bar. Out of the bottle, now, in the glass, ready to toast.
More at Bistro. The eternal youngest of the family, no matter how many may come. Timeless, eclectic, a space from people to people – to good people, because we had enough of bad energies, pandemics and bad news. With the reopening, we return not only to the tables on the two floors but also to the award-winning cocktail bar that is the heart the house (and not only because of the heart drawn on books in front of it)…
… to the Upside Down Room where the flowers are waiting to be seen again …
… to Hendrick’s Room, the private room that allows customers to enjoy everything that involves sharing a meal in Bistro without loosing their privacy…
We return to the classics and to the news. Because more than just a solution, 100 Maneiras 2GO was also a creative studio, a test laboratory. It was here that Bosniazinha was born, which combines the original recipe of traditional “Francesinha” with Burek, a fetish dish from Bistro 100 Maneiras, in the menu almost from the day one. First, created in 2GO format, now about to make a debut at Bistro’s tables, a perfect example of what 100 Maneiras identity is: no barriers, putting the world on the plate, giving primacy to pleasure. In the same spirit, the prawn sarma tested (and approved) during the lockdown will arrive to Bistro, inspiring fork and knife trips while it is not possible for us to return to the world and taste it.
More without losing sight of the goal. Complying with the safety rules – masks, distance, alcohol-gel and everything we are already used to – without forgetting who we are, what we have lost and what we want to recover. For now, only from Monday to Friday, from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm (last reservations at 9:00 pm), taking into account the rules of presented by the Government, but already preparing for the weekends when we can meet again. Around a table, with our plates full, glasses raised and with the promise that every day will be like Friday, with the taste of April’s freedom.
Reservations are already available and can be made by phone, email or through 100 Maneiras website.
