One year of 100
The first anniversary of the new 100 Maneiras is celebrated on 28/02/2020. And since this new 100 is not “just” a restaurant, but the life story of Ljubomir Stanisic and many others, the celebration of the first anniversary couldn’t be “just” an ephemeris – let alone a date celebrated solo…!
Because 100 is people. And, to those who take care of it every day, such as executive chef Manuel Maldonado and operations manager Miguel Santos, other people are now added, from other places, with other stories, other worlds: Taku Sekine, Japanese-Parisian, and Hans Neuner, Austrian-Algarvian. 100 is a journey…
On 28.2.2020 we remain faithful to our principles. We toast to freedom. We celebrate creativity, this creativity without limits (and without borders!), with two friends who also proudly carry these flags with them.
“Raised” in the kitchens of giant Alain Ducasse (first in Tokyo, then in Paris), Taku Sekine is part of a new (and vibrant) generation of Japanese chefs who “revolutionized” the gastronomic landscape of the French capital in the last decade (and one of six highlighted by the renowned New York Times in 2016). With two restaurants, Dersou and Cheval d’Or, he has built its own universe, unique and out of the ordinary, freeing himself from codes and embarking on a total search for freedom…
Hans Neuner, on the other hand, was one of the first two chefs in Portugal with two stars from the Michelin Guide with a seemingly dissonant philosophy from “rules”. In his Ocean, simplicity joins passion, innovation sublimates the product, the thirst for knowledge serves talent. Without ever giving up of rock n’roll!
It is the thirst for world that moves us. And it is this world that we celebrate from Lisbon – on 28.2.2020 and every day. A world without races, creeds or religions, a world that we want to protect and love. A world served in 17 moments, in a menu named “Many Stories” (200 euros per person, including wine pairing), already available for reservations.
Because, as we celebrate one year of 100, when we blow out the candles, our wish is clear: love us or hate us, but don’t ever let us be indifferent!
